The Epochal Business Opportunity That Defines A New Era

ABSTRACT: True paradigm shifts rarely happen. When they do the benefits are incalculable. Think of the transition between feudalism and industrialization or the changes wrought by the electronic revolution. Paradigm shifts are less about technology and physical structures than about the raising of consciousness. How long did man look at sand before he realized he could turn it into circuits? Look at hierarchies of power or at a steep gradient of authority and imagine them flattened. Equality is the promise of populism and democracy, a promise that could not be realized in the previous epoch’s cultural framework. But imagine the political and economic benefits of having the promise of populism and democracy realized? Are you in? This 2000-word prospectus is your introduction to the greatest epochal change ever conceived.

Talking of business opportunities, did you miss any of these?

Were you in on the ground floor when man underwent the Neolithic transformation from the Paleolithic age? How about the Bronze and iron ages? Did you get on the ground floor of the Age of Steam, the Industrial Age, The Digital Revolution, Dot.com craze or the latest buzz over Digital currency? The arrival of every new culture or Age presents the greatest level of opportunity possible. What would your life be like if you had been present at the birth of capitalism? Imagine knowing what the next culture revolution was going to be? What do you think the next fundamental advancement will be based on? Each new era introduces a new and fundamentally different technology. But what area of human endeavor has not been touched and push dramatically forward? What is the most primitive and undeveloped part of human civilization? Is it possible that from the dawn of man there has existed a feature of culture that no innovator has fundamentally contribute to or changed? What if you could identify a 6000-year-old process that was under increasing pressure because of its age and outdatedness. What if you were handed a prospectus that laid out what was wrong with this aged technology? How would you respond if you were told what was about to be transformed by a radically new technology?

What if this opportunity required you to make an investment so small no broker would even consider it an investment? Would you be upset if you were told you could not tell anyone about this opportunity? How about if the only capital you needed to invest was the time it takes to share this new knowledge with others?

However, before we get into what this new technology consists of and how it works, we will look at what we use that has been used from the dawn of human history. We call this system or cultural model the liberal model. The liberal model of culture is a natural system, it is the system of nature.

Nature tells us we can have what we have the power to take, and we can keep what we have the power to protect against its seizure by competing interests. Our personal ability to seize property and keep it in the face of protracted opposition is limited and so individuals come together to create groups that make our seizures more secure. But the basic philosophy has not changed just because it is implemented by groups rather than by individuals. Like most beasts if humans see something they want and if we have the ability to take and protect it, we take it. If we see a stronger agent wants what we have and we know we cannot defend what they want, we give up what we have and if not, we risk harm along with the loss. If we can find a group to join that will help us protect what we have, the group puts someone in charge of the group so he can adjudicate between competing claims within the group and make the kinds of choices for the group that an individual would normally make. If the group cannot convince the possessor of something the group claims, to give up the claim, or we do not feel like relinquishing our claim to something claimed by a competing group, we fight. Sometimes this fight is personal and between individuals and sometimes it is an all-out war between nations or even groups of nations. In the end it is a trial by combat to settle disputes over who owns what.

Ethical systems are based on two principles that complement each other:

Might makes right and

The end justifies the means.

Security is never certain in ethical systems. Security in an ethics-based culture depends solely on our ability to defend what we have, either singularly or in concert with our tribe. What we have including our life is always at risk of being lost to those who can field more power in a more focused manner.

There is no time in the history of man we can say this situation has not existed. But ethics is not the only possible organizing principle known to man. Man is not designed to be ethical but moral. Messianics introduces the alternative to ethics-based organization. For the first time in six-thousand years man has a moral alternative to the ethical business model that has caused so much havoc over the centuries. Despite eons of lies and misleading teachings Messianics introduces the Messianic Exchange: a moral business model.

Morality is not based on law nor on the ability to impose law and regulations by force. As we have shown without recourse to force law and legal systems have no weight. Morality is a faith-based approach to problem solving. The Exchange Business Model creates a microstate using the mechanisms of the free market and the Labor Theory of Value. Moral organization sounds strange to us because morality is not ethics and the Messianic Exchange business model is not like anything that has existed before even though the words describing it are common words.

Think what this means. Up until now power has been, if not the only option available to reconcile our differences, has been the court of final appeal. It is not uncommon for people who have exhausted all other options to resort to violence. We look at this as a breakdown but really it is a continuation of the process in use even by our legal system. Underneath the wigs, the austere architecture and bombastic titles is the threat of force. Why else would courts have armed guards other than to express on what the law rests on? All the laws in the world are useless without the burly man with the nightstick or if required, paramilitary units to back it up with forcible restraint and pain.

The ancients did not have access to two ideas that are central to our civilizations today. These ideas have a moral interpretation, but they were introduced to our ancestors as ethical ideas or elements of the ethical world view. This ethical twist was a corruption of their true meaning. Democracy and ownership are not what we have been told they are. Ethical democracy is a modification of trial by combat. Ethical democracy is what psychologists would call displacement behavior. Instead of trial by combat groups resort to trial by election. Without the further modification of representation, direct democracy tells us which candidate has the bigger and probably, stronger gang. So direct democracy tells us which gang will call the shots for the next few years.

Representative democracy helps to modify the raw reality of the stronger gangs right to impose its will on the weaker gangs. But the implication remains. Democrats favor democrats and impose democratic policy and Republicans impose right-wing policy and favor conservative groups and ideas.

The modern view of ownership as possession is similarly founded on the thinking that justified bopping your favorite lass on the head with a large stick, as a way of claiming her. This is anecdotally the behavior said to serve as a courting ritual for cave dwellers.

The same attitude that makes us think might makes right, justified ship captains planting their nations flag on foreign lands to claim it in the name of their monarch and patron. Then using large well equipped armies to change the minds of native and other rules about whom owned what again, in favor of their monarch and patron.

Having claimed a property through force and having appointed a ruler to adjudicate disputes the people needed a way to understand ownership. The government used its ability to field a larger and better equipped force than any sub-group it ruled. It ought not to surprise us that ownership even to this day is decided by the central government backed up by legal force. The state assigns title to those whom it favors, usually because of their willingness to bear gifts.

So, despite the years that have passed, things have not changed a great deal. Underlaying our title to our property, both personal and national, is an army and police force with the willingness to protect the subjects claims to their property. In short, modern day ownership is possession backed up by force. In the case of the modern state, it is legal force imposed in legally prescribed ways. But what if there was a moral system that did not require a reliance on force, legal or otherwise? An advance on the law-based ethical system of the last 6000 years would constitute the greatest business opportunity the world has ever known.

It ought not to be difficult to determine that force is required only when a fictitious claim to property is made. Who among us has the right to assign possession of what they did not create to a third party? The need for force means two powers both believe they have a claim on some asset that neither has a legitimate claim to. Ethical laws are rules for governing the behavior of pirates and looters.

If only one person has the claim and there is no rational basis for contesting this claim force is rendered moot.

If force is not needed to protect and enforce and even adjudicate ownership claims there is no need for democracy, at least not in the way it is configured at present. There is indeed no need to create methods and means of applying force. Without unjust claims being made there are no liabilities to adjudicate.

A business based on uncontestable claims would be viable. If liabilities that is claims to its assets, have been eliminated how could the business go bankrupt? Bankruptcy is the liquidation of a liability that has not been realized. Liabilities are always contested claims to a property in the possession of another. Eliminate the liability and third-party claims and one has eliminated bankruptcy and risk.

If liabilities are eradicated by moral ownership structures, and no external claims are possible then the business is secure from all risk and threats of loss. Any owners of such a business would be freed of all threats. Insecurity is just another name for a liability. If one’s ownership position was absolute and immune from all threats from external entities, the owners of this business would be similarly free of risk of loss. Therefore, the business and the people who own the business would constitute a stable, resilient and sustainable economic unit. Interestingly because it was inoculated against liability it would be a sovereign political and economic unit, in short, a sovereign microstate.

The Messianic business model or Exchange would be political and form a political jurisdiction because the operation of the business would not require external third-party agents or government agents, guaranteeing its claims to its business assets. The owners of the business would be as citizens of a political jurisdiction. Such a business opportunity would represent the opportunity to form a microstate.

When the business is the government and the government the owners then the business is the state. If there are no threats to the business there are no threats to the state, there is stability. If the microstate is a stable business entity because there are no claims to its assets from third parties, where is the risk to the business or its investors?
